To mark the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the University of Luxembourg is holding a series of public events. Join us and celebrate with those who have made our success possible! After only ten years, the University is firmly established in the Grand Duchy and acknowledged in the academic world. A unique mix of local relevance and international excellence attracts students and scientists from all over the globe and contributes to making the University a driver of change in the Grand-Duchy's society. Public events Friday 27 September, 12h30 - 13h30: Luxembourg City, Cercle Cité / Research for Lunch / First talk of a lecture series on research at the University’s faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education. Sonja Kmec, Assistant Professor of History, asks “Is our identity in crisis? What do we understand by the terms 'identity' and 'who are we'?” Wednesday 2 October, 19h00: Luxembourg City, Casino forum d’art contemporain / 2nd Luxembourg Science Slam / Entitled “Chante-moi ta recherche” this fun and entertaining event presents research in an artistic way! Be prepared to sing! Organised by LuxDoc, Luxembourg’s young PhD students association. Winter term: Luxembourg / Amphi ouvert: Uni héich zéng!/ In keeping with the 10th anniversary theme, a public lecture series about the meaning of the no.10 in mathematics, economics, history and other domains. Exact times and venues are to be confirmed. The agenda is as follows:
Monday 21 October, 20h00: Luxembourg-City, Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg / 10th Birthday Concert / With the Jack Martin Händler Academy Chamber Orchestra, university choirs from all over Europe and soloists.
