The rector is happy to announce the launch of a new policy for career advancement among the professorial ranks. The competitive promotion policy was developed in close collaboration with the deans of faculties, directors of Interdisciplinary Centres, Human Resources department and in consultation with the staff delegation.
It was approved by the Board of Governors at its 5 April 2019 meeting. The policy builds on the rules laid out in the law of 27 June 2018 on the organisation of the University of Luxembourg and defines the detailed procedure and evaluation criteria for promotion to the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full Professor at the University.
The University intends to launch the 1st edition of the new process in spring 2019.
