Queen Mathilde of Belgium visits University of Luxembourg

HRH Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg, and HM Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the University of Luxembourg’s Belval Campus on 16 October.

The Queen and Crown Princess visited the campus’ iconic blast furnaces (Terrasse des Hauts Fourneaux) and were briefed by Belgian and Luxembourgish academics on research projects in the field of digital and mental healthcare as well as innovative treatment methods.

The Queen and Hereditary Grand Duchess also visited the Luxembourg Learning Centre, the University’s library, which provides an open and innovative learning environment. Prof. Christine Schiltz and Dr. Véronique Cornu presented their research work focusing on numeracy and literacy acquisition, particularly among young children.
