The Board of Governors of the University of Luxembourg has acknowledged the decision of Rector Stéphane Pallage not to seek a second term of office as Rector of the University of Luxembourg. Professor Pallage has invoked the circumstances caused by the COVID 19 pandemic which make his family situation very difficult, for which the Board expresses its full understanding.
In order to ensure continuity at the helm of the University at the end of the Rector’s term of office, and in accordance with the provisions of the Law of 27 June 2018, the Board of Governors has initiated first steps to recruit the next Rector of the University of Luxembourg, to take up office on 1 January 2023.
