The University of Luxembourg has published its “2019 – Year in Review” document. The report looks back at the University’s development, key events, activities, successes and achievements in 2019.

2019 was a year of dynamic development for the University. Research continued to develop successfully in 2019 with new ERC grants, 48 million euros competitive funding for Horizon 2020 and FNR projects and 1,940 publications made by University researchers.

The University extended the offer of its study programmes with the new Interdisciplinary Space Master and Bachelor in Medicine and the redesigned Master programmes in Economics and Finance.

The University has also adopted an ambitious digital strategy which will be instrumental in its development beyond the current four-year plan.

“Our ambition is to inspire researchers and students to cross the boundaries of scientific disciplines, to approach issues from various angles, to seek collaboration, challenges and inspiration in different fields of study and to formulate answers that integrate multiple layers of thinking and expertise. Down this path lie potential solutions to the complex and challenging issues of our time,” says rector Stéphane Pallage.
